What is Quote Control?
Quote Control guides a remedial quotation from initial preparation to controlled PDF issue. It keeps the source recommendations, customer wording, commercial working, approval decision, supporting documents and revision history together.
The controlled workflow
Section titled “The controlled workflow”- An estimator prepares and owns the quotation.
- A checker can make an independent decision when approval is required.
- An administrator manages the company workspace, team and reference data.
- Issued revisions and their PDFs remain available as historical records.
- An optional order module carries accepted work through a published, company-controlled handover checklist.
Quote Control is not a CRM, accounting package, scheduling system or general project-management platform. Feedback → Help shape Projects gathers structured evidence before a project module is designed; it does not create live project records.
One isolated deployment per company
Section titled “One isolated deployment per company”Each pilot company receives its own application, PostgreSQL database and private object store. This is deployment isolation, not a shared database with tenant IDs. Administrators create accounts with one-time temporary passwords; optional password recovery can use an operator email service. Product feedback is sent separately to a private operator-owned collector. A company can optionally connect its own OpenAI project for scope suggestions.
The operator may recognise a company as a Founding pilot 2026. When enabled, the company acknowledgement appears below its navigation identity and signed-in people see Pilot member 2026 in their account menu. These labels are a thank-you for taking part in the pilot. They do not change anyone’s role, permissions or access to features.
An enabled workspace may also offer Support development. Contributions are completely optional, open on Stripe-hosted pages and do not change access, support, limits or feature decisions. A company that opts into public acknowledgement may show Development sponsor 2026 or one combined founding-pilot and sponsor label. Sponsor recognition is not a role or paid product tier.
What is fixed and what is optional
Section titled “What is fixed and what is optional”Quotes, Feedback, Administration and Changelog are product foundations. Timeline, Orders and Knowledge can be disabled by a company administrator.
Knowledge remains disabled for a new pilot until its content is approved. Orders remains disabled until the company publishes its handover process. Disabling a module removes access; it does not delete its existing records.
Project research is always reached through Feedback by active authenticated users. Each person sees their own draft and submitted summary. Company administrators cannot browse another user’s product feedback.
